Hello all (who are still listening).  After two years of pretty much complete isolation, with exception to the honor of playing at The Lancaster Festival last summer, I'm trying to figure out how to come out of my bubble.  I have missed playing music for people...the connection, the fun, all the memories and friendships formed.  I don't have an exact plan yet and am taking it a day at a time.  I know I want to do things a little differently than I have in the past.  I want to focus more on my original songs versus playing mostly covers.  I hope you will join me on this journey as I figure it all out.  I'll be updating events as they are added.  I won't be on social media other than my Instagram @kellyvaughnmusic so events and information will mostly be shared here.  I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to seeing everyone soon! <3 please stay tuned!  Lots of new songs to share!!

Well, 2020 has certainly not turned out they way I had hoped.  I turned 50 and was looking forward to some awesome new gigs and seeing all my fans/friends.  Unfortunately due to Covid-19 that has not been the case.  I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  My hope is that we can work together to get things back to normal.  I’m saddened by all the divisiveness and hatred that is occurring right now. I don’t usually  put a lot about my personal feelings out there, other than in my songs, but this has been a difficult time.  Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones.  Be kind, think about others and know they may be struggling too.  It take a lot less  energy to be nice.  I hope I will be able to get back to playing next year.   I look forward to seeing everyone again.  Take care...lots of love ~Kelly 

I want to say thanks to everyone who helped make this year memorable.  From my regular venues, for which I am so appreciative, to playing the main stage at The Columbus Arts Festival and finale weekend at The Lancaster Festival, 2019 was a great and very busy year.  I am already booking for 2020 and have many dates filled.  I'll be working on the new album as well and will have a release date soon :)  Please stay tuned!  Thanks again to all who have and continue to support me and my music.  Happy New Year to you and yours!!

Summer is here and it is off to a great start!  I had a fantastic time and was very honored to play at The Columbus Arts Festival as part of the Pride at The Fest event.  I even did a song on the keyboard as a special treat for the performance.  Thanks to all who attended.  I also got to sit down with Joe Sam of WTTE for a short interview on Good Day Columbus...great weekend all around!

Recently I did an interview with Mike Foley of 90.5 WCBE for his segment Music Journeys.  Mike was an absolute pleasure to work with and it was a real thrill to hear my songs on the radio.  You can click the link below to listen.

I have a couple of exciting events coming up with my band.  Kelly Vaughn and The Remnants are going to rock Lancaster on July 5th for the Bandstand.  We return on July 26th to take part in the Lancaster Festival.  We are so excited!  Details on the event page.  See you soon!!

Music Journeys - Kelly Vaughn 

There is still a little chill in the air, but spring is on it's way!  I'm excited for the upcoming shows and to have the opportunity to play at some new venues.  I'll be opening for grammy nominated Seth Glier at Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza and Live Music on April 11th.  Natalie's is one of the best places to hear live music in Columbus and I am thrilled for this opportunity.  I also have some fun shows coming up this spring/summer, as well as several gigs with the band.  Check out the events page for more details.

I had the opportunity to travel to South Africa recently.  What an amazing trip!  I found a lot of inspiration there and already have some songs in process as a result.  One of the most moving moments was seeing Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years.  I also spent time in Kruger National Park.  Words can't describe what it was like seeing the animals there...and just a few yards away!  

I'm making progress on the new album and can't wait to share it with you.  Stay tuned!!

It has been a great year and I want to say thanks to everyone who has continued to support my music!  I'm so thrilled with how things are going!  I had the opportunity recently to be in studio with Tommy Barnes on Mansfield's 106.1 WVNO for his show "Rock Local First".   What a cool experience to get to share some of my story and play some songs for everyone.  Thanks to all who tuned in!!  ...and thanks Tommy for having me!

The band and I would like to say thank you to all who came out and supported our special fundraising show.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated!  The event was an absolute success and we had a blast playing for you!!  Special thanks to all the guest musicians who donated their time and talents!  Lydia Brownfield, Jeff Dalrymple, Donna Mogavero and Jane VanVoorhis.  You all rock!  Together we helped make a difference in the fight to end cancer and improve the lives of those currently battling it.  Thank you!!!  

Please join me and "The Remnants" for a special fundraising show at King Avenue 5.  As many of you know I injured my hand last year in December.  It was a long 4 plus month recovery.  I am grateful to everyone at the OSU Hand Clinic for the excellent care I received.  My OT Sue was a tremendous help!  Sue has participated in Pelotonia for the last five years.  She rides in honor of her father JR.  As a way to give back and say thanks, the band and I are doing a special show.  All proceeds go to support Pelotonia, which gives 100% of money raised to cancer research at The James.

It's been a long winter, and a bit of a slow recovery, but I am finally healed up and back to playing!  I'm so thankful for the care I have received from the OSU Hand Center.  All the staff have been fantastic and really gave me a lot of peace of mind throughout the healing process.  My thanks to all!!  My schedule will be picking up and I look forward to seeing you out at the shows.  I'm also working on some new songs and I can't wait to share them with you!  Be sure to go to my events page and check out upcoming shows.  See you soon!
