Welcome

With a unique blend of folk and indie rock, Kelly Vaughn's songs tell a story.  Soulful and transparent and written from the heart, her songs speak to the struggle, hopes, and joy that we all experience. One listener had this to say "Kelly's voice was kind, heartfelt, and beautiful. We were mesmerized by her..."

What's been going on...

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

I am thrilled and honored to have been asked to play at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!  What an awesome experience!  My thanks to WexMedLive and The Heather Pick Music Program for giving me the opportunity!  It's been a great summer and I'm looking forward to the fall and the change of seasons.  This time of year always seems to inspire me.   I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer!  Thanks for all your continued support of my music.  As always, it is appreciated!

...sometimes dreams do come true!

Ever since I began writing, I have dreamed of having string accompaniment to some of my songs.  Thanks to the wonderful folks I have met through the Lancaster Festival, I finally had the opportunity to have this dream be realized.  What a magical moment, and one I will never forget.  In all, we performed six of my originals.  Four with cello and violin that were beautifully arranged by the very talented Maestro Gary Sheldon, with amazing musicians Jane Van Voorhis (cello) and Jai-Chi Huang (violin) joining me.  Jane and I also performed two more songs, on which Jane arranged cello...just an utter joy!  My thanks to everyone involved and to the folks that came out to listen and be a part of this magical moment <3  Below is the link for "Oak".  You can find the full performance on my YouTube channel....enjoy!

"Life Goes On" and upcoming outdoor shows

"Life Goes On" has been out a little over a month now and I'm very happy to hear everyone is enjoying it.  My thanks again to all who came out and supported the release party in April.  It was a great night!  I could not have asked for better...

The weather is finally starting to warm up and outdoor shows will begin soon.  I'm excited to be back at The Brickyard Stage in Mansfield at the end of May.  It will be my third year in a row to kick off the Final Fridays Concert series.  Thanks DMI for having me back!  For more information on all my upcoming events, please click on Events.

I was recently featured on "The Music Room" hosted by Rick Barr.  You can check out that interview by clicking the link below.

I'm looking forward to the summer and hope to see you!

"Life Goes On" soon to be released!

I'm excited to announce that "Life Goes On" (my new full-length album) is in the mastering stage and will be ready for release soon!  I will be announcing a release date, as well as a date/time/location for a CD release party within the week.  I am very excited for you to hear the new album.  I've been working very hard on it.  I know you have all been very patiently, or rather impatiently waiting!  Please stay tuned and check back for this announcement, as well as some other exciting news. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you out at gigs.  As always, my thanks for all your support!

October is Songwriter's Month!!

...well, okay, "technically" Songwriter's Month isn't until May...but for me it's going to be October.  I am very excited to be a part of Songwriter's Showcase at Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza at the end of month!  This is a true honor and I'll be sharing the stage with some very talented folks. Go to Events for all the details...and please join us!!  It will be a great evening.  I have actually taken the majority of October off from gigs in order to finish up "Life Goes On"  so my live performances will be very limited. Prior to Natalie's,  you can find me at Slammers for Live Music 2nd Fridays, as well as The Appalachian Listening Room for their debut month!  ...check on this cool new venue designed with the Songwriter in mind.  It's going to be a great month...hope to see you!!  As always, thanks for all your support!

Spring has sprung and outdoor shows have begun!!

The weather is finally cooperating and outdoor shows are beginning!  Very happy to be kicking them off at The Brickyard Stage Final Friday Concert Series in Mansfield!  This will be my third year in a row participating in this great event.  Thanks Downtown Mansfield Inc. for having me back!

I'm also very excited to have been selected to play at Comfest again this year!  Here's hoping the rain will not put a stop to things.  I look forward to featuring a few of my original songs, one of which is brand new and will be on my upcoming CD.

Speaking of the CD, I am in the process of recording and am hopeful to have it done and ready for release sometime this summer.  It will be enti
tled "Life Goes On" and will feature a few new songs, favorites, and will be full length with at least ten to twelve tracks.  I'm excited for you all to hear it!

"Ordinary Girl" has now sold over 900 copies! …and I continue to be busy with gigs.  I've picked up a few new venues that I am excited about…so please check out my event schedule and come out where you can.  Your support is always appreciated!!  See you soon ~ Kelly

My heartfelt thanks...and just WOW!

...just WOW!  That pretty much sums up my feelings of my experiences over the last weekend!  I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the people who helped make the connections for me to have the opportunity to be featured on GOOD DAY COLUMBUS, as well as play during the opening ceremonies of GSWS 2015.  My first time being interviewed on TV was exciting and fun.  Adam Slinger and Maria Durant, and all the staff at WTTE Fox28 made me feel right at home.  Thank you!!  You can find the link under Press/Announcements to watch the interview.  A special thanks to the folks who work at Fox28, saw me at Benito's and told Adam Slinger about me.  I can't say enough how much I appreciate people sharing my music and being willing to spread the word about me!  I got the opportunity to participate in the opening ceremonies at the GSWS the same way, after being seen/heard at a gig at Southbend Tavern.  Again, my thanks to everyone involved.  The opening ceremonies were awesome, and it was the largest stage and crowd I had ever played for...thousands of people were in attendance.  What great experiences all around!  Here's to seeing what the future holds!  I hope you will continue this journey with me!

I have lots of local shows coming up so check out my Events schedule...and see you soon!!

Hello Summer!!

Wow!!  What a great few months it has been.  I am a bit overdue in posting, but that is because I have been so busy, which is great!!  I'm happy that summer has finally arrived and that means outdoor shows!!  I had a blast at The Brickyard Stage in Mansfield and was very honored to kick off their Final Friday Concert Series for the second year in a row!  Thanks Downtown Mansfield for having me back...what a great night!  I had the pleasure of being asked to participate in "Music for your Soul" at the Gazebo Stage in Goodale Park as part of the Columbus Pride Weekend.  It was a real treat for me to be able to play my original songs to such a great crowd!  Also, I was very honored to have been asked to play at Comfest this year.  Unfortunately, the rain closed things down prior to my set, but I am hopeful for next year!  Thanks to all the people who helped to select me for these events...

I have picked up some new regular gigs during the week and my Fridays and Saturdays are pretty much filled for the remainder of the year.  Thanks so much to the folks that keep having me back!  It is a lot of fun for me to make connections, meet new people, and subsequently form relationships with all the folks that come out to the shows, and when I am at a place regularly, it is even better.  It is very special to me to see so many familiar faces, and to feel so supported.  I am truly blessed, and for that I am very grateful.

I am currently working on a new CD, which I hope to be able to release by late summer/fall...fingers crossed!!  I have new songs in the works and continue to expand my list of covers.  Thanks for all the great song suggestions!!  I have more announcements to come, so please check back...and as always, thank you so much!!  See you soon!!

Upcoming shows

I am very excited and humbled to share that "Ordinary Girl" has now sold over 2,000 copies!! Thank you to everyone who has purchased and shared! I am so appreciative of the support. My thanks as well to all the venues who have booked me and continue to do so...and thank you to all who continue to come out to the shows. And last but certainly not least, my thanks to those of you who ask for my original songs. I've said it before, that is one of the best things a songwriter can ask for....thank you! ❤️

The first time I heard Kelly was when she graciously agreed to donate her time at our fundraiser for the Green Shanny Foundation at Lineage Brewing. Her wonderful performance made the whole night a huge success! Kelly is awesome, as a performer and a person.

Kelly donated her time, talent and beautiful voice to the Green Shanny Foundation's fundraiser in April at Lineage Brewery. Kelly's music reflects her kind, compassionate nature. She entertained the audience with ease. She definitely made quite a few fans that night!
